ALEXANDRE HERCHCOVITCH

OK, Herchcovitch. After checking him out I find out that he's actually been going since 2002, I really should know about him. However, looking through his last two seasons, I struggle to express extreme excitement for finding him. In each collection, a/w 2010 for a start, I could only really find a couple of pieces I really liked, which are above. As for the s/s 2010, it all looked a little slap dash to me, I didn't really get it. The clothes in some parts looked bad quality. The concept and ideas are quite lovely, and after reading style.com's review you can kind of see what he's trying to do. This piece above I liked, purely because I think it would rather marvelous in black leather, with raven feathers and tulle- which is completely what its not.
I have never been one for colour however. I do enjoy blacks and muted tones far too much, so I do feel a little congratulation is in order for the bravery of his print. On the other hand, I think it's fair to say, he isn't my new favourite, and my favourites change all the time. Fashion changes, so I intend to do so to.
